CONVERSION TRACKING & REPORTING

Know what happens after the click.

Clicks and impressions tell only part of the story. Jim helps connect Google Ads, website forms, phone calls and lead reporting so your decisions reflect what prospects actually do.

Measure the actions that matter

Calls & website forms

Define the contact actions you want to measure, then check the tracking path and the behavior of forms and call links.

Google Ads, GA4 & GTM

Review tags, conversion definitions and event setup. Look for missing signals, duplicate events and actions that should not be counted as leads.

Lead reporting

Connect advertising performance with the business’s feedback on inquiry quality, appointments and customers where the available tools allow.

Start with a tracking review

Jim checks which actions are currently reported, which tags fire, and how those actions reach your advertising and analytics accounts. A successful form submission is different from a form view, and a click on a telephone number is different from a completed, qualified call.

A useful scope can include website form events, Google Ads conversion actions, GA4 events, Google Tag Manager configuration, test procedures and a reporting plan. Phone call tracking may require a separate provider and subscription.

A complex account audit with tracking and conversion review is $750–$1,000. Implementation and additional tools are scoped separately.

Turn the report into a decision

Review spend, recorded leads and what the business learned about those leads. A low reported cost per conversion is less useful when the actions being counted are inaccurate or the inquiries do not fit your services.

  • Agree on the meaning of each conversion.
  • Keep tracking definitions documented.
  • Compare advertising reports with actual inquiries when possible.
  • Use lead-quality feedback to inform campaign and page changes.

Access and third-party costs

Jim may need permission to your Google Ads, GA4, Google Tag Manager, website and relevant reporting tools. Share access through each platform’s user permissions. Any call tracking, CRM or other provider fees are agreed separately.

Questions before you start

Can you fix duplicate conversions?

Jim can investigate duplicate tags and conversion definitions, then correct issues within the agreed scope. The account and website setup determine the work required.

Will every call be a qualified lead?

No. A recorded call or form submission is an inquiry. Qualification depends on the customer’s needs and your intake process.

Is tracking included in monthly management?

Discuss the existing setup and requirements before starting. Setup work, third-party subscriptions and complex tracking repairs may need a separate scope.
